.. And this is part of the reason that "deal of the day -- YAY!" websites won't end up being sustainable long term - unless they find new suckers to subscribe.

Not sure of the capacity of the hotel - I don't care, but 103 pax booking in on the "discount" deal will not really work. Granted a certain % won't book, and the rest will be spread over a certain amount of time... but, the hotel has a certain number of rooms, Some hotels will handle this well - some won't.
 
All depends on the hotel policy I guess so it would be first in first served. But then again FP hotels are generally low occupancy due to it being so expensive.
