Just a question regarding booking made through third parties that don't provide an option for adding baggage at the time of booking (info on the VA website is not quite clear on this):

- First, is it possible to add baggage allowances to a booking through VA's website once a booking has already been made? If so, is this billed at the online rate ($30) or the airport rate ($60)?

- Second, is it possible to add baggage allowances to some but not all passengers on a single booking? For example, where some members are VFF elites and don't require additional allowances, but others who are not do?

Thanks in advance for anyone that can provide any guidance. :)

Why not check all the baggage under the names of the elites and that way the problem goes away.

With the inclusions of golf clubs and other paraphernalia, I'm a bit dubious that the elites allowance alone will cover it ;)

You can add baggage at non airport rates for any pax online.

Wow.

You must have some STUFF or not many elites.

It's not for me, I'm merely the arranger - one (possibly two by then) Plats travelling, and three others who would need allowances bolted on. As you said, I would have thought 69kg was heaps, but I've been advised to try and add whatever I can. Not being a regular golfer myself, I don't quite understand the fuss. ;)

Thanks markis10, exactly what I was after. Cheers :)

I had to change a Velocity Premium booking (which is free to do so) and the revised booking came through with a zero baggage allowance.

On line it offered me the ability to buy up to 23kg for $0; I did this with no issues.

Later on I called and 'premium' adjusted the allowance back to the rightful 69Kg.
