Accomodation points posting ??

Hi again,

I have had quite a few stays at domestic Choice Hotels (Comfort Inn's, and Quality Inn's) over the past 6 weeks. My Velocity card was "swiped" at each property.

Can anyone give me a rough idea when I may see these points credited to my Velocity account ?? I realise it may be a little soon for the last few stays - but the first few that were back in the start of November, I thought may have been seen by now ?? I can't seem to find anything on either the Velocity website or the Choice Hotel's website as to how long it might take.

Have credited to Qantas FF previously - my first time to credit to Velocity, so I am unsure of timeframes etc.

Can't answer you i'm afraid.. but i lodged a claim for stays that i booked through Hotel Club for mid November and they haven't been credited yet either.

Hi Brooke,

thanks for you enquiry regarding your stays at Choice Hotels. You should allow up to 6 weeks for the points to be credited to your account. It takes between 2 - 6 weeks however it depends on when in a calendar month your stay may have been as to how long the points will take.

Does anyone know how long it takes for Hotel Club points to post? I had a stay a while ago but the points never came through. I put in a retro claim but again did not hear anything. Tried looking at the earn info for Hotel Club on the VA website but the link appears to be broken.

Well it's exactly a year now and I still have not received my hotel points for a Mirvac hotel. Hotel maintains they were sent to velocity and they have reiterated this point numerous times.

Done several retro claims with velocity. No joy. Bye bye 8,000 points. Will never book or credit hotel points to velocity again.

I've raised on other threads on AFF about this non posting of accommodation points. I've waited up to 3 months and every time I had to do a retro claim and had to do that more than once. Virgin it is just not good enough. Qantas points post, why don't yours?
 
Agreed - i've been waiting about 6 weeks so far since i lodged 2 retro claims. Still no sign off the points or even an acknowledgement. I even attached an invoice from the hotel onto each one, so not sure whats so complex about it!
 
Ive had a number of stays booked through hotelclub that never posted.......now all are outside of raising a retro claim via the web...given up :(
 
I had a slew of hotel stays in the middle of last year that were subject to a lot of bonus miles through Priority Club. As the story goes, after 6 weeks of waiting for them to post I contacted Velocity, they verified the stays/promotions and they were manually updated within a week. To my surprise, and with a great deal of luck, a few months later the real points were pushed through as well so I ended getting double on everything.

But I completely agree. I'm 100% loyal to Virgin/Velocity but they seriously need to sort their points system out (and while they're at it, make the rewards store worth while/something more substantial).

I take it you find the redemption via Westfield unsubstantial in terms of range :mrgreen:, albeit expensive at 7000 pts per $50.
 
Hmm, my stay at Travelodge has not been credited either, and that was 7 weeks ago.
 
Not accomodation, so slightly off topic, will have to search for the hire car version of this thread, but I have had none of my Hertz points come through to velocity in the past 3 months, and have submitted retro claims twice! Never had this issue when Hertz worked with Qantas. Maybe time for me to change hire car companies and reward schemes:?:
 
Hertz have been very slow with DJ or VS credit in the last few months.
