My travel agent has managed to find a premium economy fare on a VA codeshare flight with an EY ticket.
I have one flight to AUH in Premium then an onward European flight which is definitely in Economy. The reason I cannot book PE through the VA site is that my onward connection is on an EY codeshare with another airline. It is definitely an EY ticket and I am booked in P class (showing as EY Economy of EF) but my travel agents itinerary says I'm in PE.

I was wondering if its possible to book PE on an EY plated flight as PE is not a class with them, I have a sneaking suspicion I may end up in Economy.
Has anyone tried this or have a greater knowledge of the GDS than me?

Here is what I am talking about showing on Zuji

You will end up in Economy. The fare rules state that on some code share flights Premium Economy might not be available in which case you will be seated in Economy.

But PE will be available on this flight, the issue would be being booked on what is stated as a PE flight but actually an economy fare.

If your TA doesn't realize the AUH-Europe sectors are in Economy you need to find yourself a new TA, rookie error.

I know the other leg is in Economy, but I don't understand why it would show up like this and not just straight Economy. Otherwise people will be paying extra for the PE fare and not receiving it

if it is a P class fare on EY I would ask your agent to give you a copy of the fare rules as the P class rules I see say Economy class.

If you were flying this week on that route your first leg would be in J!

Alright I took a leap of faith and booked the fare. Just organised seating for the SYD-AUH leg through VA and was assigned seat 11A, in the PE cabin. So turns out you can book a PE fare on an EY ticket. Considering this was only around $400 more expensive than the Y fare, I think this is a great deal for such a long non-stop flight.
Obviously the AUH - IST leg is in Y but I can deal with that for 4 hours.

Here's some proof from checkmytrip.com, despite it saying the class is Y I am seated in the PE cabin
