Hanoi to Shanghai or Guangzhou

Hello!

I need to travel from Hanoi to Guangzhou or Shanghai via air. Any ideas on the best carrier to choose? I've searched and found that China Southern (or maybe it was Eastern) fly there for $290ish AUD, however that is economy and we'd prefer an airline with a better J product.

SIA fly back to Sing and then to Shanghai with a long layover so that isn't really an option.

Any ideas?
