With the relaunch of Fly Buy's I'm a tad surprised not to see Velocity listed as a partner (or well yet)

With Woolies in the Qantas camp, I would have expected Fly Buy's to go in with Velocity.

Time to will tell.....

I was expecting to see them ditch the tarnished, ancient Fly Buys brand (& program) once and for all....

I noted the new partnership with webjet. I took this as unfortunately precluding any future announcement (i.e. Monday) about a partnership with Velocity.

One thing I can say for sure is that new tv commercials start tomorrow and they feature Vicar of Dibley star Dawn French.

As a shareholder - damn, missed opportunity for easy cash
As a VFF Plat (BIS now) - YAY! no flybuy/everydayreward peasants filling all our rewards seats.

Webjet is really pushing themselves now.. Flybuys, Melbourne AFL team sponsorship...

A real shame to see no Velocity partnership. Big missed opportunity for Coles.

If the ads are anything like some of the recent efforts from Coles, then I suspect they won't be very good.

I mentioned the lack of a Velocity alliance in another thread...

Disappointing
VERY disappointing

I really don't need any more QF points....

I'd much rather have Velocity points

Maybe they've (VFF) decided that the best way to maintain the value in the program is to keep it as a FFer program, rather than a frequent shopper program. Or maybe Coles just wanted too much. In any case every trip to Coles for me is an exercise in disappointment, never have the items I want, small stores with poor range, I'm glad not to be 'enticed' to shop there.

So would I, but sometimes companies just don't manage to come to a commercial agreement.

I think missed opportunity for Virgin rather than Coles.
