So for those of us that don't drink alcohol, what drinks are the chits good for that aren't complementary?

I've just given my vouchers away to other people in AAdmirals Lounges - I haven't had a use for them.

They're good for Karma. Of course over on FT they have a hidden drink chit thread, so you can say "I left a drink chit behind the pile of American Way magazines in the IAD lounge, next to the desk in the middle of the lounge" or something like that, and let people find them.

But if you don't drink alcohol, then they're not really useful for anything (as all non alcoholic beverages are of course, complimentary).

I usually ask for something like a glass of milk, or something odd like that. I will continue to give my drink chits away, then.

It's excellent for karma. I was in DFW a few months ago and not feeling overly like drinking (it had been a big week) so as I left I just said 'excuse me, I thought you might like this' and left it with a guy who had a beer. You'd think he'd just won the lottery :)

I've had a number of grateful people over the years - some look at me funny because they're not used to someone giving them something. I think others don't quite get what they are, either. I've never had the reaction you had, drewbles -that would have been lovely!

Really? I don't know what it is, but a free drink in there seems to cheer people up no end (I guess up until recently there were no free beverages at all, and even their top tier Ex Plat's have to pay for membership for domestic routes). Still, I've noticed Americans typically are very grateful for anything free you give them :)
