I don't see a problem with the name, the NBW which we know whilst was out of action for a long time, didn't actually crash (I don't believe there was even an injury), and she's back in the air, and either back in service or about to be...
 
Look at her history and you will see why it is named after her.

I too don't see the problem.

I'm willing to bet that if the Health Department bought a new boat, someone would say "hey, let's name it Titanic!"

If it was named after Doris Titanic who had been a great pioneer in health and/or boating i can't see what the problem with that would be. Nancy was a legend well before rolls royce got to her reputation and will be long after memory of that particular incident is long gone.

Although the aftermath of that incident has probably saved hundreds (if not thousands) of lives, where design and manufacturing defects have been found and corrected.
