Ok, so I've just landed in ASP for work and low and behold, sitting on the runway is VP-BJJ - a very snazzy looking boeing business jet!

Anyone know what, why or who it's in town for? It's registered I see to a company on Bermuda...

Previously was in CBR - then before that SOC.

Looked at the past owners of it and I would suggest it would be pretty plush inside and probably some on board has a bit of coin in there pocket.

Who were the previous owners?

Speaking of ASP - any update on what's happening with the proposed "graveyard" there?

G5 Executive which is a charter jet company and there was also another executive jet charter company as well that use to own it.

Wasn't that jet also in Brisbane last Friday? Or do I have my planes mixed up...

My wife and I were in ASP last friday (25th) and saw it to. We both wondered who it was.

Nice to have coin.

The same company (Avenir Worldwide) owns a Bombardier Global Expess rego VP-BJI which was in Australia at the same time.

I'd say it is Andrew Forrest from Fortescue. He is often in Canberra pressuring the gov over the mining tax and was probably flying back to Perth and decided to stop past ASP to check on his indigenous employment programs that he sponsors.

I would say its more likely a gambling junket given its destination and origin, maybe they got sick of the east coast venues?

Have you been to the Alice Springs casino? The venue itself is nice enough.. it's the smell that drove me out.
