Its not uncommon to see an Ansett FOD bin at many airports in Australia.

couple of years ago i flew on a small regional plane from Alanta (think) to Columbus SC. it was the end of a 24 hr journey and 1am was pretty smashed and getting off i noticed the stainless door on the cupboard was embossed with Ansetts logo.

Hahs there are a few of them around, some versions include A virgin sticker slapped on top of them

I am always amused by the Ansett logo on the side of a building everytime I travel to and from MEL

When I'm at DRW tonight I'll have to look for the Australian Airlines sticker which from memory sits in the dangerous goods display. Nothing has changed in DRW for over 20 years since they moved to the northern side of the runway, even the near death Gate Gourmet catering trucks still lumber on the 15 minute drive around the airport from their kitchen in Winnellie to the terminal, despite the new business park being constructed.

I was in a VA plane one day and went to the bathroom and saw an ansett loo embossed in stainless steel... I just can't remember where it was!

A lot of old stuff still lurks at MEL, from chocks to vehicles and everything in between. If you see a vehicle with dark blue hubcaps then you can tell where it came from...
