With respect, how does having a ball bearing inside change things? The butane canisters in the OP wouldn't have had them inside, but the contents would be worse than inox IMHO.

I imagine that if the can were to explode in the air that the ball bearing would be propelled at high speed and might "go through the fuselage like a blowtorch through butter" (100 Pts if you can guess which 007 film the phrase if from :))

You would assume so, however due to the design of the can and the propellants used the ball won't go far at all. Various pieces from the can itself will get thrown around a bit though
