Anyone know what the LAN J menu is like for SYD-AKL LA800 flight?

Most accounts indicate it may generally be rather "ordinary".

Ordinary is a little generous IMHO. The catering ex-SYD was edible, the breakfast service ex-AKL was rubbish.

As for seating, I'd recommend anything at the rear of the front cabin for SYD-AKL, as they don't use the forward most door at AKL, but for the AKL-SYD segment go aS far forward as you can as IME they use the forward most left hand door at SYD.
