Which should I do EK, CX or TG First class?

Good Morning All,

I cant decide which flights to take  I have 12 days trip to Asia, SIN, BKK and HKG. My question is should I fly Thai A380 from BKK which has an awesome F lounge I'm told to HKG or fly with Emirates again on a380? The return flight either Cathay Pacific 777 / 747 again awesome F lounge in HKG or the Emirates A380??

I'm not bothered about status credits or earning points, just the perfect First class experience.

Your advice is most greatfull

cheers

the emirates A380 BKK-HKG and vv is good for two things only - the shower and the Dom. The food on that short flight is catered the same as business class, and IIRC, served all on a single tray? So if you want it for the shower might be worthwhile.

Otherwsise, take TG out of BKK for the total F experience.

Ex HKG, the CX F lounge plus amazing F service would put CX ahead of TG, even though you miss out on the buggy on arrival back at BKK.

So - recommendation - TG BKK-HKG and CX for the return.

Re: Which should I do EK, CX or TG First class?

agree - Royal First Lounge on TG will be best bet ex BKK

ex HKG i guess CX by default but depends if you are travelling after Feb 13 when The Wing New F Lounge is open, if not I would go EK for the 380...

Just be very careful with CX as you might book and pay for F and be downgraded to Regional J ( I know this because its happening to me in a couple of weeks from HKG-SIN  )
CX are apparently notorious for aircraft substitutions on the Asian regional routes.

yes - unfortunately this is very true. good point.

I was looking to fly their 388 next month in Y lol :( and I think my research for the BKK-HKG TG 388 flight is scheduled in the morning? around 9am? so that would limit the whole BKK F lounge/spa experience. Though their cabins look mightily impressive. Will likely fly their TF 388 F cabins sometime mid-2013 on USDM points though ;)
