Ditto for SQ.. it is the spaciousness & refinement of service & quality that wins on all fronts.

Foreigner, any particular reason for asking the question in the first place?

Not criticising your doing it; just odd to compare SQ F and CX J.

Are they about the same price? If so.... wow, that's SQ on the cheap...

Good question...

Using miles, the difference is just 17k. SQ would be 87,125 (for F, online redemption) whereas CX would be 70,000 (for J), hence my question. Based on feedback, the decision is easy.

On a pragmatic note, at least with SQ F you are near guaranteed to get what you paid for, or you can raise Hell if you don't. With intra-Asia CX J, even if booked on a 744, it's too easy for CX to do an aircraft sub (unless it is a longer trunk route), so you could easily end up with the regional J and no 'compensation' (or right to change for free).

I think it's the difference between making your first million and the second......not that much really, once your basic needs have been met.

17k in points is also half an upgrade for your next flight.

Everyone shoud fly SQ F at least once in their life though!
