Have anyone ever managed to a free upgrade using the Le Club platinum membership at an Ibis Styles hotel?

Thanks :D

Just an update - I've emailed Ibis Styles Canberra, I was expecting a no but got told yes I'll get an upgrade. Didn't delve further into what the upgrade will be....I suppose anything will be better than nothing.

I think officially the only upgrades are at:
Sofitel, Pullman
and MGallery hotels (excluding Thalassa sea & spa)

I've had upgrades before on 3rd party booked Novotel stays (no points awarded though), but it's nothing flash, ie just a higher floor.

I've found in general the loyalty program to be very poor in benefits.

So how did you get on with the upgrade?

Ibis generally treated me well as an accor plat. Nothing more than a high room or good room but seeing nothing is guaranteed under the scheme I was happy enough.
