What do you use for flight records e.g. Flight Memory... ?

Did the import from Flight Memory. Few glitches, but mostly came through OK.

Interesting results on 'about'. I did abt 993,000 miles last week :D

And arrived at #5 of all time.

That's got the competitive juices going; wait till I get my old Arrival Cards from Archives and add pre 1998.

I had a quick squizz at that immi site you linked earlier - very interesting as they say. Depending on the amount of effort/complexity/cost (I'll take a longer look sometime soon) I would find some of that info both interesting and useful.

Thanks Roo!

Unfortunately unlike the rest of Australia, the Government didn't consider my childhood flights from Tassie to the mainland International! Good luck getting the info back!

I've had a response from QFF in the last week and they seem like they may be able to help at least get my QF details, I think i'm truly stuck with my Ansett and Kendell flights though!

I recently moved all my flights over to the one hosted on AFF as the normal openflights is quite slow.

Wish I remembered what flights I took as a child :(

Also The Cessna Citation Bravo is missing from the list :)

I went into Australian Archives local office the other day to ask about pre 1990 Arrival Cards, as told by Dept Immigration & Citizenship.

AA's first reaction was "Huh?, no we won't have those." After a bit more explanation and gentle arm twisting the guy agreed to search their holdings and eventually we came across a coupla series that look promising; they are in Canberra.

I called the Canberra National Archives and after a long, excrable message about the Australian Archives, I got hold of someone to enquire about how I search the series I had found.

In short: I'm not in Canberra, so tough luck. Pay some-one to do a commercial search (with no guarantee the Series I have identified is even correct!!), or come to Canberra. Oh, they'll need 3 months to 'clear' the series I'm after.

I'm very experienced in use of Archives around the world, but this mob sound bloody hopeless and user-hostile. I think I'm stuffed.
