Saw the print ad in The Age today but can't see it on the Qantas homepage. Business Class companion sales from Melbourne:

- Auckland 1-way - $529pp
- Singapore return - $2,999pp
- HK return - $3,388pp
- LA return - $4,999pp
- London return - $7,713pp

Ends 11.59pm on 13th of August

The LHR price is a bit rubbish but LAX looks great !

No worries! I thought LA looked very reasonable.

Interestingly the HK, Singapore & LA dates cover the Christmas period (15th August 2013 - 31st January 2014). London travel date ends 7th of December.
 
The price to LHR is cough but $5600 to JFK is an amazing deal! Unfortunately, I don't have the time to take advantage of this sale, as all my travel plans until the end of January have been sorted. :(
 
Yeah considering the last QF J sale had LHR for $6999, $15426 for two seems like a bit of a poor deal.
 
LAX is rather restrictive:
Important Flight Information
- Fares to Bangkok are valid via Sydney and for bookings completed at least 3 days prior to your departure dates.
- Fares to Shanghai, Santiago, Auckland and Los Angeles are valid for bookings completed at least 7 days prior to your departure dates.
- Flights to Los Angeles are valid for departures from Australia between Monday and Thursday and departures from Los Angeles between Sunday and Wednesday.
- Flights to and from Santiago are via Sydney.
- Fares to London (Heathrow) are valid for bookings completed at least 14 days prior to your departure dates.

They're doing the mid-week fares similar to what VA, DL and UA do. Fares are cheaper if you depart Sydney Mon-Thu.
 
LAX flights are just under $4350 each if you use the Expedia Br trick, very tempted to book.
 
$482 Wellington to Melbourne for Business. $6 per SC seems reasonable for the last 80 SC I'm on the hunt for.
Shame SWMBO is not keen on coming. Will have to find another companion. :-|

I fear she'll make me do the multiple hard slogs AAV > SYD return for $5.4 per SC.
Though being new to the game I'm sure there is an better way I have yet to pick up on.
 
*Bumpity bump* Esteemed AFF members - given your past experiences/memories, would it be likely for QF to have another business companion sale anytime soon? In the next few months at least - specifically for LAX. That $4999 above is fantastic and I'm hoping to snare a couple of those for trips over to the US next year.
