Good. I'm planning on taking one.

One double powerpoint between 4 people isn't going to be pretty especially if the cabin mates are strangers as was the case for me. My powerboard meant I only needed one powerpoint.

And in the hotel room I'm in right now with just me, I've only got one powerpoint.

If you're sharing a room with others, I can agree that one powerpoint may not really be enough at all to go around.

When you're by yourself, how many powerpoints do we all use? For me, I can get away with just two.

Lounge dragon 0. Random pax 1.

That's the score in the LAX F lounge tonight. The male dragon wasn't going to let in a family of mum and dad and 2 kids of which one was over 17 (by 2 months)

Travelling alone I managed to inherit a new long lost friend and got them in.

Whilst I dig rules are rules because 1 child is 2 months over 17, come on, common sense please :)

I forgot that kids (under 17) get in for free (or aren't counted in standard quota). Some lounges only apply such "special counts" to infants only; some other lounges count everyone - adults, children and infants.

Much resistance from LD, when you recognised long lost friend?

Just the look of "oh so you are going to play that card are you......"

Only to be matched with a superior look of "so what are you going to do about it?" ;)

Hehe, nah, played a straight bat.

Although did well to get you in to the syd F lounge earlier this week against the rules :)

Eating a filled hard shell taco without spilling or making a mess.

Another of life's impossible things to do, up there with men getting pregnant.

I've always thought the rule "between the age of 4 and 17" meant under 18 years of age:confused:

Families

Qantas Lounges welcome you when travelling together with your family. In addition to your normal guest allowance you may also bring up to two children, between ages 4 and 17, into lounges operated by Qantas. Children aged 3 years or under are not counted as guests for the purpose of determining the number of guests of the member. If you are travelling with more than two children, the Qantas lounge manager will try to accommodate them, subject to reviewing the space available in the lounge.
Note :
Qantas Lounges

  • Children of Qantas Club members aged 18 years and over are counted as a guest of a member if they don't have their own membership.
  • The service of alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 years (21 years for USA) is not permitted.
  • Children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult when visiting any lounge, except in the United States of America, where all persons under the age of 21 years must be accompanied by a person aged 21 years or older.

I don't quite see the attraction of hard shelled tacos, unless it's after 2am and I want a chalupa from T-Bell

Two would never be enough for all my gadgets on holidays. I have - iphone (terrible battery); android pad (terrible battery); camera (terrible battery); wifi hard drive (contains all movie files that stream to my other devices); and last, a wifi sound box for streaming music to speaker.

Luv my gadgets. :p

It's today's Diner selection in the SYD J Lounge.

Unlike most other "free" or buffet tacos I've had before, the meat component of this one actually isn't bland (of course, no significant spicing, but still tasty).

A lot better than the Mexican bean mix that VA had out during their little sortie of evening Cantinas.

17 year olds aren't allowed in at all apparently.

That's exactly how I see it.
Lounge Dragon was wrong.
Nice one ReLoad :D
I did the same thing once at the BA T3 Galleries F and the look on the dragons face would have soured milk.
