This was a last minute substitution.Opryland and some of the hotels plus Opry Mills are still closed from flooding earlier this year.We were going to stay there. We had a free SPG night from the current promo and would be unlikely to be able to use it othgerwise so booked here-the only SPG hotel with availability.
No suite upgrade but a room with a view of Downtown which is the "best view".good view of the Renaissance hotel. Also the downtown view rooms are across from the lift bank and the lifts are noisy.
Were given access to lounge and supposedly our keys were able to give us access to the lounge floor.they didn't.Went back to the desk 4 times and still could not get access.Accidentally got there that evening when trying to get key to work and someone called the lift from the lounge floor.A range of fruit and veggies with a spicy dip.The hot item was hush puppies-for the life of me I can not fathom anyone actually liking these.Bar was a cash bar so we left and went shopping instead.
Still could not access lounge in morning despite another change of keys.So we left not being impressed.
I would not pay a lot for this place and beware of the downtown view rooms if you dont like lift noise. The rooms themselves were large enough and it has had a recent fairly tasteful refurb.
Sorry couldn't edit title-it is Nashville.
