We had 2 stays here on our African trip.first was when we flew back from Ghana and overnighted before our Botswanan safari and then a 2 night stay when returning from Botswana.I had read reports on FT and TA and was not expecting much.I ended up impressed.

We booked a standard king room on a prepaid rate on both occasions. Both times upgraded to the top floor-executive floors are 6,7.The room was comfortable enough-

The suites here are basically all named multiroom suites so I am not concerned they are not regarded as standard suites.

on the first stay we received a fruit platter and I got a Gary player golf shirt.

The place was empty on our first stay and we were the only guests in the lounge at happy hour.We decided to eat in.The directory says there is a buffet restaurant,an A-la-carte restaurant and snacks served in the lobby bar.But that night they said only the buffet was operating.I had the buffet and had the runs for the next 2 weeks.

Checking in on the second occasion in the lounge the first thing that was said to us was that all the restaurants were operating. Not only that but we got a fruit platter each day,a platter of biltong, nuts and dried fruit each day,a bottle of champagne and Mrsdrron got a Gary Player golf shirt. On top of that I received a series of emails from the GM explaining what they had done to see if they could find a source for my problems.Very impressed with the recovery.
