This is a preliminary post to sound out interest in an In-N-Out run this year.

Many of you have expressed an interest in doing this, and there is the possibility of some freebies on the In-N-Out side of things (no promises).

If we get enough interest - there may also be the possibility that we can discuss it further with Red Roo /VFF (but again, no promises).

The general idea is to plan a turnaround trip departing on Sat ex-SYD/MEL which arrives into LAX early Sat morning.
Departure would be late Sat evening, arriving back into SYD/MEL early Monday in time to get to the office for those who need to be back at work.

In terms of dates - tentatively looking at a weekend in May/June most likely.

There is also the possibility that some folks may want to travel "to" LAX but then stay on for a holiday.

This is possible - but at this stage - the planning is for an "event" (ie. A turnaround trip).

At this stage - if you are "interested", please indicate so in this thread.

We can then get a discussion going around dates and getting people to make a firmer commitment.

Re: 2016 DYKWIA In-N-Out Run

Definitely keen to repeat my JFK-LAX-JFK run from last year. But of course from AU.

Re: 2016 DYKWIA In-N-Out Run

Also registering interest depending on dates. Will be in LOTFAP mid june but could make a weekend run earlier.

edit: misread the topic, thought you were proposing 2015 and not 2016.

Re: 2016 DYKWIA In-N-Out Run

2016?

If 2015 I can do 7th March, 6th June.

For 2016, 12th March, 11th June are Saturday suggestions.

Re: 2016 DYKWIA In-N-Out Run

Interested.

What about for election weekend in 2016?

Not June long weekend in 2015 for me.

Re: 2016 DYKWIA In-N-Out Run

I'm interested but thinking of staying longer so can I join either at the start or end of the trip?

Re: 2016 DYKWIA In-N-Out Run

You may want to put a life sized photo of yourself in the office chair so that you have an extra bit of time in Los Angeles. You can then go to shows, beaches, dinners, sightseeing and shopping.

Mr Feezable would love to be a part of this, he's a native Californian, hasn't been to the US this century and the thing he misses most is In-N-Out. It may not be possible for us to work it, but I am posting interest for him for 2016.

Bugger!! I knew it was a new year and all.

Would a mod mind changing the topic to reflect 2015 please

Big sad face from Mr Feezable, very unlikely he can make it in the next 6 months, but will keep following just in case.

Re: 2016 DYKWIA In-N-Out Run

I'm sure we can go again next year

Re: 2016 DYKWIA In-N-Out Run

If 2015 I can do 7th March, 6th June.

I did this last year with serfty on 8 March (it wasn't a long weekend for me but it was the longest day waking up in BNE then flying to MEL then LAX and still returning on the same night)! I remember serfty coming up to me in the cabin asking me if I have heard that MH370 had gone missing...

Unfortunately I didn't visit In-N-Out then and it was just an AIRwin-N-Out day trip, so count me (AIRw)In(-N-Out) if it's over the Easter long weekend this year!

Re: 2015 DYKWIA In-N-Out Run

Ah, 2015. Absolutly out unless you make it either 27 June or 12-13 July.

Re: 2015 DYKWIA In-N-Out Run

Colour me interested, dates are challenging, but I'm keen.

Bronze with a tinge of pig iron unless I can find a sponsor....
