Another BNE extraordinary drinks night Wed 24 April 2013

We just held BNE drinks to debrief Markis10 & LW. Thurs 18 April 2013 so why are we holding another one so soon.

Well this could be my last Brisbane drinks night for quiet some time, as I am moving to Perth. I may still be around for another few weeks but my new boss would like me to be in Perth sooner rather than later, and the new suggested start date is 6 May.

Interesting you might have seen this thread, What's your 2013 New Years travel resolution? with my 3rd New years resolution was to, Go to Perth, I wrote it because Flyertalk Ozfest was in Perth this year but my new potential business associates were in Perth, so I could see myself going there a few times.

Where, back to where it all started.

Interesting that Mal made a comment a few weeks back that he did miss the usual Brisbane AFF Drinks night although a few were being organized in London, I will miss them as well. I am sure when I am in Perth I organize 1 or 2 get togethers.

I have a dinner in MEL on the evening of the 24th, then I am probably flying to SYD early on the 25th

I did that on the tarmac on a late shuttle from T4 to TBIT, at LAX. Certainly worth doing . And then we were ny coincidence in 1A & 3A on QF 12. It was a great AFF discussion, talked for hours, lots of the fine F beverages enjoyed. About 5 hours into the flght iirc we needed to pause.

It's like that any time any of us get together. So much to talk about & share, so little time..

However, giver your little ones, I sure do understand the difficulties of evenings out.

Thanks Lindsay - (and Storyteller - I only realized it was you on the bus cause I overhead the magic words in your conversation - "miles", "American", "award", "status credits" ).

I think we needed to pause as everyone else in the F cabin had retired (credit to the FA for being more than happy to keep the Tatt flowing!)

I already have plans to be in BNE that night so happy to drop in and catch up with whoever is able to make it.

Otherwise I'm sure we can catch up on the next one.

Perhaps a sidebar at OzFest, or an AFF-specific event sometime shortly after that when work flies west

I may not be there until 6:00pm as I am getting a prospective tenant looking at my place tomorrow and they suggested 5:15pm.
so once that is done I will be in.

If I manage to make it (have to get in touch with Jetlagger), I wont still be there at 2300 unfortunately, but still hoping to make it for at least the early part of the evening.
