Been a while since we had one of these in Canberra; and I was thinking a lazy Sunday Lunch in the coming weeks might be an option? I can't do 16th or the 23rd (out of town the entire weekend) but any Sunday before/after that is fine.

Also not specifically married to a Sunday lunch either, whatever works for most is great.

Discuss.

Sounds great. Happy with lunch, or dinner, or coffee, or whatever (it is the company that counts). I'm away on 16th too, but the rest of the month looks fine at this stage.

Good idea, love to. Nov 30 would be good for me. I'm also happy with whichever, Sunday coffee or lunch.

Sounds fun, unfortunately "Date TBA" doesn't work for me as I am busy :p :p

Any one else like to attend and to suggest some times so that we can lock it in a burgeoning diary?

I wonder if we can combine some of the CBR people not going on the BAM w' those members who are and have a lunch/brekky/dinner in CBR. I haven't followed the BAM thread ... ?

Otherwise, to keep the ball rolling, I suggest that we set a date based on who's answered so far eg 30 Nov lunch/dinner/brunch some place central with parking. Thinking of parking there's a new place in Curtin called I think the Silver Fox. Any other ideas suggestions?

The BAM extrainzaganza stops at 1400 at The Loaded Dog in Tarago on Friday 19 Dec, anyone want to go out to meet them and have lunch, apparently they may be a little under the weather? Anyhow, we could confirm the actual time on the day.

Or we just have a lunch lazily in CBR on 30 Nov or whenever for a select little group.

As SQ421 says, "discuss".

Bumping up!

I'm away from the 19th of December for a fortnight so won't be in town when the BAM extravaganza rolls in, though that would be a good way to catch up with a few usual suspects.

At this stage, looks like brunch/lunch/dinner on the 30th is a winner. Give it a week or so before locking down the date/time/place.

Yes, I'm happy still with pencilling in 30 November TBC.

Just noticed this.

If I'm around (and I suspect I will be) I'd love to meet some new faces.

Will be on the BAM as well

Let's lock in 30 Nov for sat 1200 so we can plan around it. We have a request for Civic however it's pain to park, the closer to Christmas the worse it gets - or Braddon maybe. Any suggestions for a place that fulfils parking, inexpensive, aircon in case it's 35C etc?

Canberra Centre should have ample parking, and most places in Braddon are a short stroll away. 30th November is a Sunday, so a flat $2 parking at Canberra Centre applies.

I was going to suggest Hopscotch | Five Lonsdale St in Braddon. They have a good range of beers/ciders as well as grilled meats on offer. Could be quite "summery".

Open to other suggestions though.

Sunday 30 Nov is OK for me and happy to try Hopscotch, as long as I can have shade the whole time. The last 'do' we had we went to the Dumpling House behind the gym under Dendy and that was quite comfortable and lotsa options. Any other ideas?

Hopscotch also has some tables indoors so I can (will) check if they'll let us reserve one of those. Else, the CBD Dumpling House isn't a bad idea at all. Then there's also Grill'd right across the road from there if so inclined.

Sunday 30 Nov at the Dumpling House sounds great. Also happy to try Hopscotch or Grill'd.

The inside tables seem to be high chairs which are not really that relaxing and comfortable, and, if it's like today, it won't be plesant outside. Could we maybe think more about Dumpling House, s or maybe even Grill'd?
