Just to confuse things further, if people are looking to linger over lunch, then perhaps the City Labor Club (just up form the merry-go-round in Petri Plaza might work.

Dining | Canberra Labor Club Group

Both Grill'd and the Dumpling House are likely to be busy/ noisy.

Yes, if the conversation flags we can watch the merry go round go around ;). I'm fine with the club but am not a member.

The inside tables seem to be high chairs which are not really that relaxing and comfortable, and, if it's like today, it won't be plesant outside. Could we maybe think more about Dumpling House, s or maybe even Grill'd?

I thought I saw some sit down tables inside at Hopscotch. I'll walk by it on my way home today so happy to pop in and check.

If not, Dumpling House is always a goer.

I don't think we can linger at the Dumpling House as it's a high turn over place. I think the afore mentioned club would be more relaxed as they won't hassle us out and it will comfortable.

I have had a lazy lunch at the Dumpling House on a Sunday in a group of 8, however I'm happy to be guided by the Majority on this one. Labor Club is fine by me, and I might even be able to dig out my membership card. I know it's somewhere.

Please RSVP for Sun 30 Nov for lunch at say 1200. I'll check out the food at the Labor Club, or it's the Dumpling House.

I'm not working next weekend, so should be available. Though I'd be stuck with ACTION.

At least Civic is relatively easy to get to depending on where you start from ;).

Wow! You guys are really into preplanning. I would like to be able to come along, but I am not sure what I am doing next month, let alone this time next year!

That's what happens when penegal isn't the organiser!

Lets meet near CBD Dumpling house @ 12:30 on Sunday and then wander elsewhere for a few beers after. If I walk by the place between now and then I'll ask to reserve a table, but going by past experience lunching there on a weekend, a table for 6-8 isn't a problem at all.

Also, flat $2 parking in Canberra Centre on sundays for those driving!

Sounds good. I'll see you near the CBD Dumpling house @ 12:30 on Sunday.

Me too will be there. Let's go in shortly after 1230 and sit down at a table booked in the name of say 'Tom', so that late comers can find us whilst we wait in comfort.

Judging by the turn out last time I think expecting 6-8 people might be overly optimistic ;-). But regardless, I am looking forward to seeing you guys there at around 12:30.

Wish I could join you all but I am still in Europe. Enjoy the meet up.

It is with regret I must withdraw from lunch.

My wife's calling it manflu but as we would all know it's the equivalent of getting glandular fever, SARS and Ebola on the same day.
