Well it is time to start planning for Christmas and meeting our fellow AFFer's for the festive season.

Noting the imminent demise of any time access for WPs I thought we could start here for a couple of quiet apple juices or what ever takes your fancy before we adjourn to Civic for a festive feast at a location to be determined.

All are welcome and I expect we will have enough WPs to host a few people.

Look forward to seeing the locals and of course people from anywhere else who may want to fly in for dinner etc. There will be people available to drive you to your hotel etc if required.

Hotel? Can't I just pass out on your lounge?

Pencil me in as a maybe please.

I and a few others will be in NZ that weekend, I should make it to Canberra some time next year for AFF 5.

Tempting, but I’ll have to see what the finances look like nearer the end of the month, as right now I don’t have more than $15 to my name :p

Let me confirm a little closer to the date - but I should be in for that.

Reason for confirming closer is I think it's the tentative date of our company Christmas party :)

I will be passing through earlier in the day enroute NAN.

When will the cbr renos be sorted?

Yep, the 11th is our Christmas party.

Family friendly event from 3pm-7pm and then adults only "after party" beyond.

@Sprucegoose - I hear that the new CBR terminal is now scheduled to open November 14 (I believe that's what you mean?)

The day of our train trip and my first entry into the J Lounge as a WP. :)
An auspicious beginning.

Yep. It'll also be the first time I get to try NGCI - which starts in Sydney on November 10 :D

Will try to get along to one of these get togethers but for now Saturday is not a good day.

Has Canberra been confirmed as the winner? I was upstairs eating lamb roast.
Not confirmed but Canberra is the clear front runner.

Well the big day is next Saturday, everybody is invited.

While we're looking at starting at 4.00pm if you're flying in earlier let me know and I'll meet you.

Be good to catch up with some familiar faces and welcome some new people.

I have to be in Canberra for a drinking session Friday so I can stay another night. I'm not a WP so could someone please guest me? Otherwise I'll be stting in the gutter drinking from a brown paper bag.

Happy to guest you in Karens :), the gutters are all flooded here at the moment so we can't have that.

Thank you!

I'm in Weston Creek and no flood here - must be your Qbn side of the border! I made the mistake of driving the GDE this afternoon

One of my friends just asked what I'm doing on Saturday night. She seemed to think it odd when I said I'm going drinking at the airport.
