One of my friends just asked what I'm doing on Saturday night. She seemed to think it odd when I said I'm going drinking at the airport.

Last night I chatted with Hvr about the flooding in Qbn and how I will get to Canberra from the coast today. My options are

turn right at Spotlight and come in to Canberra past the airport

or

from Bungendore go to Macks Reef Road (Rewinkles!!!) then down the highway.

I'm heading to Weston Creek so airport makes more sense. I took the GDE on Tuesday when I came from Sydney and it was so slow.

I'll see/meet people tomorrow

I made the mistake this afternoon of heading to Qbn then turning right at Spotlight towards the airport. I should have taken Macks Reef Road (Rewinkles!!!). Made it to town safely and ready to attend tomorrow. Well, not dressed and ready, just ready.

Well a small but intelligent group . We had a lovely couple of hours in the CBR J lounge with fine food and fine company. We actually ate so well we didn't need to go out for dinner.

Special thanks to the lounge staff for looking after us so well.

The lounge was fairly quiet (as were we) so it was quite interesting to hear a very loud conversation from the next partition about various subjects. The woman concerned was literally screaming on the phone.

Zoe and I had a great time. Was nice to check out the new Canberra airport.

I poured my self a glass of bubbles which were AWFUL. I switched to beer and all was fine.

The funny thing is Zoe was teasing me about meeting my interweb friends at the airport for drinks. Then her plans for this afternoon fell through and she joined us and had a good time.
