My travels have been related to my studies and vice verse.
I have completed a Master of Arts in Ancient Art and Architecture at Macquarie University
I have completed a Bachelor of Arts - major: Asian Studies, second major: Anthropology and Sociology,
I have completed three Post Graduate Diplomas: Early Christian and Jewish Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, Islamic Studies and Ancient History.
In between all of this I was involved in a pedestrian accident in May 1989 and suffered a fractured skull. As a result I have been diagnosed with a short term memory loss and greatly reduced cognitive skills. Since this was a Worker's Compensation case I was down graded in my work in the NSW Public Sector. In September this year I was offered and I accepted a promotion in the Office of Protocol and Special Events – NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet. I am now the same classification – Clerk and a higher grade than at the time of the accident – grade 4.
In January I return to Jordan to volunteer with the University of Sydney Pella Project -– see http://acl.arts.usyd.edu.au/neaf/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=18&Itemid=39 for details. It relates to my current studies for a Master of Arts in Ancient History and Architecture I am undertaking at Macquarie University as a part time student since I am working full time.
