Went to one of my local coles Eastgardens NSW tonight. They had ordered some more supply of $100 CMCGCs but informed 'supplier is out of stock' and they'll have supply on 18th. Unfortunately too late for this offer. Plenty of $50 available though.

Targeted only, right?

We do quite a lot of shopping with Coles. For example, just finished off the 3 weeks over $90 spend. Any ideas why we may not have been targeted for this one so that we can position ourselves for similar offers in the future?

I don't know that anyone will be able to provide you with a 'perfect' answer about this.

I'd think about 2 things:

1) Your overall spend at Coles. When I've stopped spending at Coles my offers and price points for offers have improved.

2) Your gift card purchase history. Have you previously purchased gift cards from Coles? You might like to demonstrate an interest in buying these products by taking up one of the general offers that are sometimes available. EG. Recently you got bonus points for buying a David Jones gift card. Taking those points into account you were buying the David Jones gift card at a discount. This could only be done once per membership, but it does demonstrate an interest int he product.

Personally, I've not had the targeted offer every time it has been available. But when I have received it I've made sure that I've bought as many cards as I can afford. They are very easy to use and getting rid of them for me only takes a very short time.

Today I used 20 x CMGC to pay for a bit of an engagement ring. :) No problems, the store manager was really good and we spent 15mins processing it.

Hope your prospective partner says yes :)

Well done on the 5% discount on the ring.

Thanks. Appreciate the advice.

Anyone know if you can use the MCGC to buy Endota Spa giftcard from coles? Would be nice to get another 4000 fb points for nothing if it works out.

I'd expect it to work but would personally buy the Endota GC with Edge and use the CGMC where no Amex bonus points

Thanks, she said yes. She was like man if I was the owner I wouldn't do it, but the guy who sold to me was really good and patient. Need to pay rest of ring once it is made. With more CMGC! Hehe

The shop didn't accept amex too so yeah this worked out well!

I already purchase the CMGC with the latest flybuys promotion so now just reusing the giftcard to get extra $20 for two Endota Spa giftcard. Seems pretty good to me.
