For me it's the Croatian Airlines international lounge at their hub in ZAG. This is about the only lounge at ZAG but for some reason, despite OU being the only airline hubbing there, the lounge entrance is a mis-match of signs of all other airlines other than OU.

I was greeted with suspicion when entering the lounge by the man on the desk, despite handing him an OU J boarding pass, and a *A SG card. He did not say a single word to me.

Inside, the food options for breakfast were cake.

That was it.

Alcohol was freely available at 7am which I guess was a bonus. Lovely views over the carpark.

No showers, or even toilets in the lounge - you have to use the (revolting) ones in the departure gate.

The only staff I saw inside the lounge were helping themselves to the food (cake) and coffee (instant) and smuggling it back to their colleagues in back offices.

In comparison, the TK domestic regional lounges in tiny Turkish airports where they only have a few flights per day were outstanding. Even the contract lounge in Belgrade was much, much better in comparison.

What's your worst?

One of the *A lounges at MNL airport back in 2010; can't remember which one it was now but it certainly wasn't good.

The OW lounges there aren't much better either IIRC.......

The plaza premium lounge at the KUL LCCT, I know it's in a LCC terminal bit it's worse than worse.

The food is always old ( and I suspect it may have made me ill) the characters filling it are not too kind and the seats are awful!

I didn't learn the first time and went back again at the start of the year, shame on me!

The SIA (shared lounge ) in Milan.
Haven't been there for a few years but the toilets were "unisex" with ladies having to pass the urinals to get to their stalls. Now some may say it pays to advertise but
this seemed to be extreme.

Dublin Airport DAA T1 Lounge…. My theatre room is bigger. No toilets, no showers, chips/chocolate & beer, that was it.

Re ZAG and KUL LCCT,
at least they have alcohol - that would put it above the worst in my book....

KUL LCCT
Have been, and agree the food is so-so, and the toilet converted to a shower is a bit weird, but you have a fridge of beer and lots of dessert... Agree the chairs are average and the views (into the terminal, and into the airside lounge (remember the sticker)) are poor... Also like the ice cream in the airside lounge... In any event this lounge will be closed soon when klia2 finally opens.

A few others worthy of consideration

SIN (Yes!) RAINFOREST.
Appears tacky, dark, noisy and very uncomfortable chairs. Average food and no comp drinks.
Does have pay-in beds.

KHI CIP LOUNGE
Can't expect much in Pakistan I gues, but out of the 80s, bright, noisy and very limited food
Welcome to Jinnah International Karachi

GIB Air Lounge (Old airport)
Pretty much a BA Lounge... Just ugly.

True regarding plaza premium grog! Is it something drinkable now? The first time I went it was something strange.

I think the thing that left me with a sour taste (literally) was the off milk in the coffee machine!

The view into the airside lounge is odd!

We got "red carpet" service last time, that was kinda fun for an LCC!

The priority pass lounge in CUN was fairly poor, as was the one in HAV....

Seriously? I used this over the Emirates lounge last time. Had the entire place to myself!

Not sure I've been to any bad lounges, although in some cities I prefer not to visit the lounge at all. EG: Cairns

The Brindabella Airlines Cobar Departure Lounge.

This delightful "passengers only" area of the Cobar airport doesn't need separating from the rest of the terminal due (1) only Brindabella has scheduled flights at Cobar and (2) no one wants to use it anyway.

During my time there I noticed that zero passengers participated in the lounge's generous offerings. Probably just as well because there's no toilets on the 1.5 hour flight to Sydney! :)

XIY F lounge, a few sagging couches in front of a large rapidly greening television screen. There were a few packets of biscuits and some soft drink. Nobody else spoke English and the lounge attendant came to me when my flight started boarding (to PVG) and gesticulated that it was time to leave. I understood and was happy to board the plane and then sit for a couple of hours on the tarmac before we took off. The F fare wasn't much more than the Y fare and was worth it for the extra leg room. It was an internal Chinese airline booked through Expedia.

The BI BWN lounge is pretty bad considering there was a scheduled connection exceeding 12 hours on my LHR-DXB-BWN-MEL ticket and no couches at all that would accommodate a quiet nap...food was average too.

DMM business class lounge practically for all airlines as it only 1 that I know of (there are 2 but the other is only for VIPs).

No alcohol, morning to night same things on dried sandwiches, dried cakes, coffee, tea and some cold drinks that is not cold most of the time.

Air NZs BNE lounge and SQ's KUL lounge...both have terrible food and limited seating which is useless when busy.
