The worst airport lounge you have ever visited?

For us the worst would be S7 at OVB ( Novosibirsk Siberia ) Worst Lounge dragons ever. All food and drink chargeable at silly prices even tea and coffee. Took nearly 40 minutes to convince them that OWE are allowed access to the lounge. Grrrrrrrrr

I have to agree they're fairly ordinary, but there are far worse places out there and I don't think they deserve a guernsey in the context of this thread.
No, check the thread title - they are the worst lounges I have visited-pity any who have visited worse... :D

Some in South America are pretty dreary, like one in Peru which had only lollies and no windows what so ever, just a square grey painted room with some chairs and about 5 small round tables.

The QF lounge at BNE International. It was OK when it was built about 20 years ago but is well past it's use by date.

Since it was built flights have probably doubled and the same for QP members. It is always crowded, difficult to find 2 seats together and the food is very ordinary.

Spot on, major, and the most bizarre thing appears to be the QF so-called "F" lounge in BNE, which is smaller, just as crowded and misses out on the nice view over departures and tarmac. Instead you look at a car park .

For worst personal experience I would nominate the CX lounge at the old Kai Tak HKG. The only lounge I ever visited where after all the 'club chairs' were taken people started sitting on the armrests, including mine .

Cheers skip

BA lounge at Schipol

AF J lounge at CDG (for the terminal for flights to asia) - I have had better waits for the dentist

CAI while waiting for a BA flight seven or eight years ago...

serfty ... The CX lounge at BKK is at least as good as the QF lounge perhaps thirty meters away. Though the QF lounge doesn't have a shutdown for staff dinner (and cleaning)

Happy wandering

Unimpressed with the food offerings (plastic packets of cheese/bikkies) at the JL Sakura lounge (T2 I think) at NRT in 2004. Only redeeming feature was the beer pouring machine!

That's why we a re all different.

My first reaction was "you have got to be kidding"! My second reaction was as above.

I have used both.

I remembered using the lounge BA contracted at TLS a few years ago - not so good. (I believe there is a new one now.)

At least they had Champers ...

Etihad lounge at Milan.

Filthy.
Rude staff.
Old and worn.
Revolting food.
Smelly toilets.

Novosibirsk (OVB) Siberia No Drinks not even Tea or Coffee or water for free FFS ????

HA lounges in Hawaii -basic basic basic! No food, no alcohol, plastic cups uncomfortable seating. The only good point was air conditioning. Restroom in HNL but not in outer islands.LAS in comparison was reasonable.

The Air Astana lounge at Almaty International Airport, Kazakhstan. It was both basic and strange. Kind of funny how bad it was. Makes you appreciate how great the lounges in Aus are.
