I really hope that means you've seen plenty of the world; therefore not a waste at all.

On the other hand, if it's from frequent BNE-SYD-MEL trips...

I have seen plenty of the world, but I can assure you it's no holiday (especially with my family back at home). Mind you I was being cheeky towards Qantas ;)

No LTP for you??

Do you know something I don't?

With that amount of flying, would you be able to negotiate something (i.e. an incentive)?

An incentive to fly more??? :P

Surely at that level you should get a CL invite!

You are welcome to lobby on my behalf :)

Well done.

I would love to be in a position to do that much travel especially if someone else is paying for it....

You say in your OP it's a waste....why?
Have you redeemed anything of value for yourself or your family? Any great experiences along the way?

I think he was referring to that 14,000 of those SC's are a waste as after you hit LTG there is nothing more.

Why not?

There is no difference working in the Brisbane office or working in the Bangkok office. In fact I know which I would prefer once a week.
THere is one big difference if Brisbane is home, i.e. you can go home to your family (should you have oneO each night!

Probably deserves (has?) a thread of its own, but personally I find overnight travel interstate to be a burden, but overseas travel generally a joy. To be able to see different parts of the world, meet all kinds of people, and have different cultural experiences on the company dime is a great thing. Sure it means you're not with your family, but life experience is a nice compensation.

This from someone who isn't overseas every second week, though. More like 4-5 times a year.

As for the regular MEL-SYD run, you can have it. Complete PITA.
