I’m happy to advise that we’ve updated payment processing on qantas.com to automate bookings ex China and Dubai.

Customers are no longer required to personally present their credit card at a local office to complete their booking. Authority is obtained via a CVV number.

This is scheduled to roll out to the remaining points of sale ex Asia (Korea, Philippines, Taiwan, Indonesia and Thailand) by early July 2014.

Good news! What about india? Their payment gateway is painful

Hooray!!! Rarely will this be useful for me in Perth, but it is a step in the right direction.

Ok I will say it

About time ---- Took long enough------ should have happened sooner LOL

Good move, but one more question for Red Roo:

Why does QF.com not allow one to search for Business Class fares ex TPE? It works fine if I search for economy seats.

Hey Red Roo,

It is early July and Thailand is still requiring the card to be presented to the agent. Any news on when the change will happen? JV

I'm not going to make any jokes about having patience - this has been in the pipeline for a long time and I share your excitement!

While I cannot commit to a date due pending external factors, it's scheduled for early next week. :)

Apologies for the delayed update, however this went live yesterday. :)

Bookings ex Indonesia, Thailand, Korea and Taiwan can now be completed via qantas.com without presenting a credit card at the local office.
