Apologies for the delayed update, however this went live yesterday. :)

Bookings ex Indonesia, Thailand, Korea and Taiwan can now be completed via qantas.com without presenting a credit card at the local office.

Thank you 1 million times over Red Roo!!!!!! Finally I don't need to run the gauntlet of traffic in BKK to verify a ticket, nor panic because the office is closed when I've had to book at the very last minute on a Friday afternoon (my business isn't 9-5, 5 days a week!!).
 
I missed this thread when it was posted as I was overseas at the time.

I noticed looking at booking ex-Thailand yesterday and the credit card requirement had disappeared. And voila this thread appears again....
 
Excellent news, very handy for one-way award bookings from Asia.

Pleasantly surprised Qantas have fixed this shortfall.
