With the 'Jestar' half price plus bundle sale I started looking at JQ36/35 from MEL. The last Saturday JQ36 MEL-SYD is on October 6th and the last Saturday JQ35 SYD-MEL is on the 27th. Is anyone aware of how long the service is being suspended/stopped?

Why, because iCan.

JQ35 appears to still be operating.

For some reason JQ have made it not bookable on the website.

They show up again some months into next year.

Well that's a fine how-do-you-do!

Perhaps too many JQ BPs though the Flounges. I wonder if it would be bookable over the phone?

I'm booked on a JQ35 in December - did it some time ago. The booking looks fine and it comes up on E/F.

As these are tag flights, the simple answer maybe the "thru" flight demand or booked load means they don't want a short haul pax as they will get more for the long haul

I was booked on JQ35 on Christmas day. I checked the booking last week and they had moved me to a flight leaving 10 minutes earlier, from the domestic terminal. I rang Jetstar to get on JQ1 which leaves at 13:00hrs. The lady said "but we've put you on a flight that leaves just 10 minutes earlier". I said "yes, but from a different terminal". She said "oh, you want to go from the International terminal". I said "Yes". She moved me :p

I take that back ... my booking has been changed and I will look to sort it tomorrow.

Do you believe me now?

This is what can happen when you advertise one too many First Lounge runs on an open forum....

Ummm .... I think they are still travelling via SYD T1 to MEL T2.

I believe the JQ1 segment is newish on this sector - probably the issue.

It's interesting the change is not yet showing on Expert Flyer.

Given the number of pax with D stickers on the flights who are not F lounge attendees, I suspect it's more to do with people using the flights for a cheap tiger match. And let's not forget this absence has occurred before.

Bugga, was hoping to take advantage of JQ35 near xmas time!

I was on JQ35 on 17/11 that has also been adjusted to depart from domestic... I will have to look into it too.

This is one of those times where people need to take it offline. Every post is doing damage...

Doesn’t worry me until 2014, when I plan to bounce between SYD and MEL for a whole week :p

Having taken those flights a few times, I’m surprised that it’s not bookable if the service is still operating, as they certainly never seem to have that many pax flying all the way through. Nearly everyone on board has an orange sticker! Might be cheaper to fly an empty plane, but probably even cheaper to just fly the one sector and not right through…
