Just received an email from Qantas advising that for a limited time, it is possible to upgrade our Q class seats to PE or J.
"Requesting an International Flight Upgrade Award is easy, simply register your upgrade request online at qantas.com between 12:01am AEST 26 April and 11.59pm AEST 28 April 2012 for flights departing 1 May to 30 June 2012. Flight Upgrade Awards are at all times subject to the availability of requested seats"A few questions for those in the know, we are flying SYD-JFK, JFK-LAX, LAX-SYD in a couple of months and a number of domestic internals.
I am looking at upgrading the SYD-JFK leg, a 747 out of SYD to LAX on QF107 and then I am not sure what they operate through to JFK? Does the LAX-JFK leg have PE class? Or would we likely be bumped back to Y, or alternatively bumped up to J?
Alternatively the return LAX-SYD is on QF12 and the A380 product, would our points be better spent on PE on the A380, or are they pretty much the same across the 747/A380s?
Thanks!
