I've been tossing up weather to put in for the upgrade SYD-LAX-SYD to J, where I have 50C outbound and 80A coming back.

Decisions decisions!

I am travelling in August and there are 5 people on my booking - how do I only upgrade 2 of the 5 passengers? I can't upgrade 1 person as they are not family (and I don't want to use my points) - can't see how to do this in my booking details - thanks in advance (expecting it needs a phone call to the QFF)

I believe you will need to split the booking!

We have 3 PAX on the one booking.
I requested an upgrade for the return leg during the last offer. By the time I had worked out I would have enough point to request upgrades both ways, the offer had expired.
I've now requested PE SYD-LAX and J LAX-SYD. Not sure about the June 30 cut off, we fly out July 2.

nope I love my mum too much for that - the upgrade would be for my mum and dad (60+), the rest of us can fly Y its good for the character!!!

SWMBO and I have 80a/k allocated Syd-Lax-Syd and was 144k points each way for the both of us to upgrade to J decided just to hold onto my points

Umm, but all domestic flights are eligible for upgrades, so your upgrade is really not related to this promo.

Used to be, but it changed recently, in the last 12 months or so IIRC

Just have a look in the manage my booking section, SWMBO did not get an email but I just logged in as her and I was able to request the upgrade on an N class fare this week

I requested two upgrades for N class bookings on QF128 which worked. I had not received the email so thanks AFF!

Just do it before the deadline, then cancel upgrade later if you change your mind (conditions of cancelling apply)

I have requested an upgrade now from N class to PE for a BKK-SYD flight in 2 weeks time... will be the end of the holiday and I am not looking forward to the overnight flight in Y, so PE would be fantastic if it comes through. I get the feeling that the SYD-BKK (and vv) flights for QF must have low loadings at present, hope so anyway
