Bit of a plug piece on CH 10 news last night including a walk through of the new lounge - nothing to be excited about - wall supports are up but no plaster.

However they did flash up a screenshot of the lounge plans, which look correct based on the basic locations previously published in the lawa newsletters.

What is the story, is the new TBIT a shared J/F Lounge elsewhere in the terminal for some time before the F takes over the space of the existing J/F lounge on level 5?

kempvet,
Based on what has been said to date - we will start with a shared J/F Lounge which incorporates new balcony space and part of the new terminal and the old Star lounge space,

and then they will renovate the current oneworld lounge space to make it a new F lounge.

Just read somewhere that the J lounge will now be delayed until mid-year. Qantas says it is not their fault, it is the general upgrades and renovations being done to TBIT itself.

Bummer. I was hoping to try it on April 17!

There is plenty of construction going on at TBIT at the moment - came through there today.

Son of a beech. Was looking forward to checking out the lounge on my trip to LA in May.

What would be the best lounge to use now as a WP/OneWorld Emerald? The OneWorld website lists two in the Tom Bradley International Terminal. The OneWorld Los Angeles Lounge on level 5 or the Los Angeles International Lounge on level 4? Or is the LA International Lounge restricted to JAL/Malaysia Airlines passengers?
