Qantas You

This must be the new radical ad campaign (marketing campaign) as alluded to by AusBT a couple of days ago.

Cue the "Try harder, Qantas" sentiments....... now!

If you name is on the plane do you get an upgrade.

A passenger, Barry on the initial Scoot flight, OOL -SIN was upgraded to ScootBiz as the plane was named Barry.

I was interested to find out more about it Qantas You. So I search on google for 'qantasyou' with no space between the two words. The first result return by Google was for a 'Qantas you're cough' facebook page. Obvious not what Qantas were intending.

Yeah, I've put my name down, I'd love to be able to go "kids, this one is my plane".

Plus FF points are always good. (Not too sure about having my ugly mug on QF promos though...)

Edit: interestingly enough, they value 1 point = 4.18c.

Interesting concept with this campaign. I've signed up. Will be interesting to see how successful it is.

Is it invitation only? When I go to the website I only get a blank page

Not invitation only. Anyone can enter so give it another go. Qantas.com/you good luck!

Cheers

Hmm...it looks like there are some issues with the website, like LadyC, I only managed to get a blank page when I clicked on the link. :(

Having said that, I believe it is an interesting (and different) promotion from QF. :)

I downloaded the android app. On the whole it looks pretty slick.

But using the take my photo option it only seems to support the rear facing camera. There seems to be no option to switch to the front facing camera. Which seem to be a bit weird.
