QF IT systems screw up on Lifetime Silver & Gold status notifications?

Just received a "Celebrate your new Lifetime Gold status" mail. A mere two and a half years or so after I actually achieved it. I'm wondering whether this might have been triggered by some kind of "no more Platinum comps" decision by the system.

QF IT systems screwed up?

I just got an email from Qantas saying "Congratulations for reaching Lifetime Gold".

Thing is, I have over 18,000 lifetime SC (need 14k for LTG) and got LTG almost 3 years ago (and got a mailed Congratulations pack then).

Are their computers messed up and just throwing random emails at people?

I just got the same email - after hitting LTG over 12 months ago. Quite strange - but obviously a system email maybe sent to all of us with LTG.

Same for MrP who reached LTG a couple of years ago.
And no round number. His year started again 2 weeks ago.

Being reported elsewhere by a large number of people so some glitch in QF's systems.

Here's hoping I'll receive a comp LTS or LTG... Or am I Dream(liner)ing? Oh, that would be a name for the QF Dreamliner - "Lifetime Dream"!

Haven't had a congratulations for LTG but Mr FM just got one for LTS, which he achieved more then 4 years ago!

Jeez, I am feeling so unloved: I made LTG in 2010 and am very close to LTGx2; but not a sign of any email at all!

Sounds like someone fired a batch of emails at a production mail server instead of a development one.

3 years late on Lifetime status

Today I received an email congratulating me Lifetime Silver Status. Interesting considering I achieved it more than 3 years ago (!!!) and am now working my way towards Lifetime Gold. Another example of Qantas efficiency.............?

Personally I'm still a long way away from even getting LTS so I didn't get an email.

Lifetime Platinum would be nice. If QF announced that that would provide a strong incentive to maintain a higher level of travel. Sadly they've given every indication they have no intention of offering that or any lifetime incentives higher than LTG.
