Where I've been eating lately...

I thought about sharing a few good restaurants I've been to so far this year.
Maybe others can also post some good dining spots they visited recently.
Sydney:
• Ms. G's - Asian fusion located in Potts Point, relaxed and casual. The sweet and sour lamb ribs are excellent.
• Mr. Wong - the owners of Ms. G's opened a more upmarket Cantonese restaurant in the CBD. Very nice décor and good wine list. This place is very popular so better get there early.
• The Winery - this Surry Hills restaurant has dim lighting and relaxed atmosphere. Food was good but I wasn't impressed by the wine list. Maybe the name of the place set my expectations too high.
Melbourne:
• Mamasita - this funky Mexican in the CBD has great coughtails and a very impressive tequila list. Be prepared to queue up for a seat, it's very popular any day of the week.
•Movida - located in the famous Hosier Lane, this is my favourite Spanish tapas. Been there many times and never had a bad dish. If the place is full then just next door is the more casual restaurant called (how original) Movida Next Door. Their menu is a bit limited but still very good.
• The Olive Tree - good bistro with great service. My favourite local restaurant in South Melbourne.
Surface Paradise:
• Seaduction - a fine dining restaurant located in hotel Soul. Romantic atmosphere, perfect for couples.

Went to Enriques in Mount Lawley in Perth last night. Great young, hip vibe and food to match. Much like 86 in Canberra.

Perth- the Trustee is good.

I'm at Chez Pierre monthly as their "5 course dinner" set (entree, mains, dessert with bread, amuse bouche and sorbet between) for $58.50 is amazing value for Perth. Really like that place.

As for recently,
Melbourne:
Little Big Sugar Salt - A cafe in Richmond full of hipsters but does an excellent breakfast.
Cote Terra - An Oakleigh cafe that I've been working my way through the breakfast menu. It has yet to disappoint.
Little Ramen Bar : Tiny joint in the city that serves authentic Japanese ramen and always seems to have a line out the door.

Brisbane:
E'cco Bistro - Excellent food with a wine list to match.

Daylesford:
Kazuki's, a modern Japanese. They offer a la carte and degustation menu. Good wine and sake list with local wines offered by the glass. The food was amazing, from the bread with sewed butter at the start, to the dessert at the end.

Nothing wrong with pubs. I've had some great meals in pubs

This is my favourite place for dinner when I'm in ADL. I've yet to find such a good Argentinian restaurant in MEL.

Thanks for the tip, that's an excellent price for that kind of menu and the upcoming set menus look really tasty. I'll be giving it a try quick smart.

In Perth I like the degustation menu at Red Cabbage for a special occasion. Classy atmosphere and interesting and delicious plates.
In Brisbane I like breakfast at Jeremy's on Albert st, CBD. They do a wonderful ham eggs benedict and without fail serve perfect poached eggs every. single. time.

MEL: Replete Providore, cafe in Hawthorne. Had breakfast the other day. It was delicious.
