Has anyone used the memory foam cushions with the cut out for coccyx pain? Do they help? I have a (hopefully temporary) case of Coccydynia

What are your hotel room habits or idiosyncrasies?

I loved the “hutch breakfasts” as a child. We grew up on home made wholemeal bread and no sugary cereals so getting perfectly square white bread and cocoa pops in the little box was amazing

Qantas apologises to frequent flyers with status extensions, lounge passes, points & more reward seats

Forget Qantas, I get more money from Medibank and it’s paid directly to me, no “spend money to get a bonus” gimmicks

Telstra day pass not being honoured

With Optus not Telstra but I had the same thing happen. Started chat with Optus and they said it would be adjusted when the bill was issued. It worried me as I had hundreds of dollars charged but they all disappeared when the bill was calculated.

    Scams like these

It did get me momentarily as I cancelled a credit card a few weeks ago but the Italian gave it away, and the fact that it’s not actually addressed to me.

    Apple Airtags

It is actually easy to slice along the tape at the box joins open the box and then very neatly retape the box with new tape over the old tape. You would need to look very closely to see if there were two layers of tape. How do I know? I once opened my Christmas present under the tree and taped...

Carrying on board a sewing machine?

Agreed....with the usual escape clause that it is up to individual security officers and airlines

Carrying on board a sewing machine?

Both Home Affairs list of allowed items (travelSECURE) and Qantas both say yes. Of course you never know if you’ll get an overzealous security person. I would suggest she put in a “rescue thread” on her knitting just in case the needles are confiscated.

Vaccine Rollout in Australia - personal accounts.

Trying to book Novovax for 4th shot. A pop up appears that ATAGI ”advises” this vaccine is for individuals who cannot have any other vaccine. Can I still go ahead and book it or will I be denied when I get there?

    Scams like these

I lost my debit card once and was dreading changing all my direct debits but because they had been set up with the BSB and account number not the card number they weren’t affected. Of course this won’t apply if it’s a credit card ☹️

    Yet another Qantas DISASTER!!

This is what the bottom of all my emails from Qantas look like including those from Customer Care

    Yet another Qantas DISASTER!!

I can’t imagine that the head of ‘Aviation and Corporate Security’ would email an individual passenger. And yes, it’s Matthew Fleming not Andrew

EMD to HEL and everything in between. A Trip of firsts on QF1.

I detest gluten free meals on airlines, sometimes you get edible slop most times very bland and dry. The best GF I had was Thai J the lamb melted in your mouth

You mentioned you are coeliac, did you take a guess about what was gluten free on board or were they able to tell you?

Definitely check the school policy, friends of mine received quite the lecture when wanting to take their Primary aged children on a holiday during term time

Flight delayed, missed connection and abandoned by Qantas

As much as I disagree with running to the media for every inconvenience I think in this instance it would be warranted. This was not an isolated incident affecting one person but 50+ people with a blatant disregard for passengers and their rights.
