Does anybody know what is the position re existing bookings? We have some bookings for Apr and May 2025: the number of SCs were clearly stated on the web site at time of booking. Are Virgin now going to retrospectively reduce these? Can they legally do this?

I'm not clear how this 50% SC flown with VA flights is going to work. Example: I need 800 SCs to maintain platinum. Suppose I earn 400 from VA flights and 600 from partner airlines. Does that mean that even though I have earnt half the quota with VA I don't qualify because 400 is less than...

Seems to me this will make earning status credits seriously harder. Example: I fly J HBA to BNE via MEL for $1500 return. At present this earns me 220 SCs Under the new system, I will earn $1500/12 = 125 SCs I also lose the ability to gift Platinum to my partner. Not happy.

Just to confirm, we have just got back from Haneda after an itinerary essentially similar to yours. It wasn't possible to check bags all the way from HBA to Haneda. Like you say, arrange for a long connection time. We went up to SYD the night before and had a relaxing stress free evening!

I checked the Velocity web site to confirm I have enough SCs and ESs to maintain platinum. This it appears to do - except it also says that my silver status will be renewed! ... Anybody else seeing this?
