It's was an EU regulation that all carriers have a full list of allergens. QF has it for flights ex Australia.

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Menu lead in times are quite long and dare say this would have been a consequence of the stand down. But changes are coming soon, including changing of the menu (and won't be around for a year either) and introduction of new meal services that I spoke about previously.

This is generally how Japanese meals are delivered. Go look at JAL or ANA first class and you'll see they also deliver the Japanese menu on trays, whilst the western options are without.

Melbourne Wednesday 8 March Refuelers' strike

For the rest of the afternoon there are currently 4 cancellations ex MEL so the impact has been minimal, if not almost normal - I've seen normal days much worse.

QF 9 between MEL and PER my thoughts

There have been dozens of international flights with what is a domestic sector over the years with hundreds of thousands of passengers having done it. This flight is no different. Whilst you don't like it and thats fine, plenty of passengers seek this service because, in all the cabins, the...

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

No date at this stage, but unlikely to be by then. There is no change to the way the service is on the way back on overnight flights in J. It is still a breakfast card, there is just an additional hot item, so there should be no increase to the amount of time the service is given in J for...

Some changes coming across the network. They are over the next month or so. Some changes include: - Introduction of a full 2nd meal service on longer flights (such as BKK/HKG/HND) in economy, with business to follow - Introduction of full breakfast in economy on longer flights back into...

How many more times must international pax, due to an emergency, be stranded on the ground in AUS?

But it can take a while for a fuel truck. I diverted once as did a bunch of other airlines to a non normal port. Fuel was done on first in best dressed and we took 3 hours to wait for it.

How many more times must international pax, due to an emergency, be stranded on the ground in AUS?

They patch to Medlink for all flights, based in the US. If it is serious enough for a diversion, they then make the required arrangements in that port. They have a list of all the equipment and medication so when QF calls they know what resources we have, as not all airlines carry the same.

    Life raft positioning

The whole thing with the life raft is just ridiculous. Let's call out this post for what it is - another excuse for a certain poster to bash QF. The posters source wasn't even travelling in business, so why would he give two hoots whats stowed in a J locker. It had zero impact on his ability to...

    Life raft positioning

It can because it’s not the same as the one in the ceiling. It only holds 25 pax.

    Life raft positioning

So that is the normal location of one of the rafts, in addition to the ceiling, on Boeing 737-800s with life rafts fitted (books say above row 3 on the left). Crew can’t move stuff willy nilly.

    Qantas Delays/Cancellations

I dare say flight radar might be a bit confused as two flights yesterday had QF6013. OQK did a flight yesterday (SYD-SYD) and is doing one right now (QF6014 SYD-SYD). Most likely pilot training. OQH also did 6013 to LAX.

    Crew on take-off

This isn't about the safety demo - I'm pretty sure all crew could recite it word by word (I still have PTSD for two shots mate). This is a specific checklist that crew run through (OLDABC) when they sit down before take off. At QF/JQ, the last thing the cabin crew are told is "commence silent...

What QF plane forms QF81 SYD to SIN

The advantage of flights out of SYD is that they can change an aircrafts rotation. So even if something is late, they might swap aircraft around. So if the QF81 was formed by the QF42, and that was late, they might make the QF26 the QF81 instead. There are other factors that determine where an...
