Tried today BNE/SYD to LHR 25 and 26 february. All sectors had at least I 8 but no go. The agent said there was not the appropriate fare class available for her to put a request in . She could not tell me whether the particular fare class she referred to fell into the "business sale" basket.

Yep I'm a cynic but the reference to "win win win" certainly does not apply to Qantas frequent fliers. QFF have to buy those other airlines reward seats to give them to us so - they save money by not making them available to the punters. QF could also win if members had to either buy a QF...

I would be interested to know if QFF can determine which non QF carriers seats, which are made potentially available to QFFlyers, are actually allowed to be accessed by us! If so,that would be a new low even for Qantas.

Does this upper limit refer to 4000 EDR points or the number of points generated by spending $4000. A lot of my EDR points are generated by "boosting" so 4000 points could mean maybe only a 1000-2000 dollar spend. So, if the limit is the former , it would seem a little miserly.
