    Cost.. but in particular the crazy disconnect between a red e-deal and a flexi. Take BNE-SYD... Lots of flights available at $150 for a red e-deal or $633 for a flexi. More than quadruple for what? Not much. Yes, I realise a lot of huge corporates are getting big discounts on corporate fares...

    I'll happily pay ~$50 more to move from Choice to Flexi. And I suspect a lot of people are willing to do the same. I suspect Qantas will hate this.

    Just a thought... could the 787 do MEL-ATH non stop? Great circle has it about 250 miles longer than PER-LHR. But... PER-LHR has lots of twists and turns, whereas MEL-ATH looks like it could be done in a fairly efficient straight(ish) line.

    Qantas is a national carrier in name, not practice. It gouges travellers at every opportunity, it abandoned Australians during covid (thanks to Qatar for bringing more Australians home) and mostly acts in its own interests rather than that of Australians. And it’s free to do all these things...
