Don't want to get too off topic but thought it was interesting that this ANA flight wasn't quite full either, 20-30 free seats and my friend had the row of 3 to himself even (Though he's still going going to try get his Economy X seat refunded!). Wonder how many others from VA were booked on...

Friend was due to fly out of BNE today but got notified last night it was changed to go to Sydney then ANA onto Haneda. He wasn't pleased about the 6am flight down though!

Depends how flexible you are then. I can see plenty MEL-SFO-CDG around that time for 4 people. Or if you can make it to Singapore first, I can see plenty direct from there. I haven't checked return flight but keep looking and trying different options and see what you can find!

Thanks Human and Simmo! For the discount code also. Had a feeling the $349 to MEL was the best that i might get but figured i'd ask anyway. Not quite sure i'll break even on value out of a status run but will keep it in mind anyway!

The best i could find for that route was $349 each way, for 55SC, compared to $399 for BNE-MEL for 80SC. Am i seeing the wrong prices?

So thanks to a 250 credit bonus i wasn't expecting, i'm not terribly far from Gold for the first time (If i pool with my partner). My total starts to drop a little over the next few months but i'm looking for about 80-100 credits out of BNE. I don't know if i really fly that much to get enough...

I used points to go last November and i'm pretty sure i just used the Confirmation code on your e-ticket email, on the SQ website to mange your booking and choose a seat. It's just under where it says CONFIRMED in bold.

Can the 737-8 reach Tokyo? Thought the plan was for the 737-10 to be used. Maybe I'm just confused! Friend is meant to be flying in July, so he's anxiously waiting for any news!
