    Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

I've had the $50 spend for 4 weeks for $50 or 10,000 points offer 3 times running. They must know we also shop at Woolworths as well.

No Virgin Redemptions Using Krisflyer Miles

Without knowing which route you are trying to book I just found plenty of reward availability using Krisflyer miles on Virgin for 3 different domestic options for next year. This is definitely a big improvement on what has been the case late in 2022. Which route booking are you trying to make?

Article: Why Does Everyone Want to Visit Europe in Summer?

I agree Matt. Last trip in the northern summer for us was way too busy, e.g London very crowded, packed like sardines in the Vatican Museum and you could barely move in San Marco Piazza. Never again, next time it will be in a shoulder season.

    Qantas travel insurance?

Will be interested in your experience with the claim. Apparently they can be notoriously slow in responding.

    Qantas travel insurance?

I got a quote for a single domestic trip with Qantas Travel Insurance and I couldn't believe how low the quote was. For 3 weeks a comprehensive policy was $104. All other quotes were between $650 and $1000. The policy looks to cover most situations including $8000 rental car excess which I...

St George Rewards Signature KrisFlyer Devaluation

I've now got that card to replace my St George card and what a good card it is despite the Virgin Money web site. Its good value and don't forget the 120,000 bonus points for signing up. Its gone up from 80,000 in May when I signed up.

St George Rewards Signature KrisFlyer Devaluation

I'm was already winding my St George card down ready to cancel. Got the letter yesterday and thought it was good timing.

Article: The Unpublished Benefit of Paying for Preferred Seats

In May I flew HBA - MEL and found Economy X exit row seats available for free. This was one or two days before flight. Flight was quite full. No such luck on return.

    Booking Hotels with QFF points

Trust me when I say this is a rarity! We have been talking about his trip for 7 years and are finally doing it. Normally I scour the internet looking for the best price but in the Kimberley you don't get much choice. And neither of us likes camping.

    Booking Hotels with QFF points

I may have not worded my earlier posts very well but I have every intention of using points for classic award flights going forward. On this particular trip we plan to spoil ourselves a little in Broome after 4 Wheel Driving through the Gibb River Road for 2 weeks. My OP was just to point out...

    Booking Hotels with QFF points

Don't plan on a going to the Kimberley then unless you camp everywhere. We're planning a trip next year and the average accommodation cost is over $472 a night for 13 nights and that includes some fancy tents!

    Booking Hotels with QFF points

If you think 167,457 is a lot just for the hotel what about and extra 157,163 for return flights from Melbourne to Broome (2 people)?

    Booking Hotels with QFF points

According to Qantas Hotels the cost is $1470 and the accommodation's own website is $1400. It's in Broome.

    Booking Hotels with QFF points

I'm not sure about the Qantas Holidays being better value than booking a hotel and flights separately. I've looked at both and used the same hotel and the same flights on the same dates. On Qantas Holidays for 2 people for 5 days the points needed is 324,620. Booking just the hotel is 167,457...

Credit Card Offers Qantas Premier Platinum: Up to 80,000 bonus Qantas Points

I certainly did. I was honest and was slightly under with their annual income minimum but thought I would submit it anyway expecting a refusal. This wasn't the first time I didn't quite make the income minimum and got approved. I thought being retired would go against me but it wasn't.

Credit Card Offers Qantas Premier Platinum: Up to 80,000 bonus Qantas Points

I'm retired 9 years and on a fixed income. I was surprised recently when I was approved for the Virgin Money card with 80,000 bonus points and 1:1 earning rate. They even gave me a $24000 credit limit (I've since reduced it) compared to my (about to be cancelled) St George card which only...

Using KrisFlyer miles on Virgin Australia

I booked a VA flight last week by calling the SQ call centre in Sydney. It wasn't showing up on SQ. I got a very helpful and knowledgeable person which isn't always the case. I suggest you try again, might be lucky.

No Virgin Redemptions Using Krisflyer Miles

I checked a few different options. Looks like there are award seats on Virgin only on about 1 or 2 days a week for the 3 options I looked at.

Travelling experiences with armed soldiers and guards

We stayed near the Champs-Elysees in Paris a couple of doors from the Israeli Embassy where soldiers were patrolling with machine guns. A bit disconcerting walking past but our wives seemed to enjoy looking at the soldiers from our 2nd floor window!

No Virgin Redemptions Using Krisflyer Miles

I first wrote to SQ asking why bookings could not be made on their web site using KF miles for Virgin domestic flights. I mentioned I had done this earlier this year for a flight HBA - CNS. They thought I was trying to make that booking. SQ: We acknowledge your concern about the redemption...
