If I was Woolworths, these would be the bottom of the list for things to incentivise. Why reward a customer for doing something they already do?
Thus why we selectively scan cards (or genuinely take spend elsewhere) so that we are incentivised to come back.
It likely is the supplier paying, and that's why it can't be dismissed. Every time you see it you see the suppliers brand again. Especially when it's a new brand in the Woolworths house they are trying to get off the ground
You could always call and see if they'll offer you an extension (going rate seems to be 120k and I'm on a bit of a mission to find out what the SC cut off is to be eligible for the offer). When's your membership year end?
To add further interest to this experience, the status credits for the Saturday flights showed up today (Tuesday) likely thanks to the lounge angel adding our qff numbers. At least in the future I know what it means if the boarding pass is not the right colour! Glad that I won't have to go...
Very interesting. I recall doing this in the past on AA redemptions made via qf. Have probably done so for other QF flights too but hadn't actively noticed them missing from other WP requests.

Interestingly today I had a flight call boarding "first and final" in the lounge 10 minutes early. Get to gate and boarding hadn't started. Waited about 5 mins before group boarding commenced
