Disillusionment sets in … is it worth it?

Good advice @AustraliaPoochie , thanks. It has never really been an issue before, as I used to fly so much on business, and still have heaps of points accumulating via credit cards etc. It was only that my wife's account is barely used, and so that caught us out. She was a bit pissed to lose...

Qantas Online Check-In & Upgrade Chances

I suspect if I called again, I'd get different advice.......... Seems to be the way these days. We'll see what happens!

Disillusionment sets in … is it worth it?

    Really? I might try that.

Disillusionment sets in … is it worth it?

Yes, that's the banner we saw........ I'll now make a point to 'spend' points every few months.

Disillusionment sets in … is it worth it?

Something that caught me out recently........... I was checking my wife's account. To make sure she had enough points for a requested upgrade. She had zero points in the account! Not sure if this is new, but if the account is not 'used' in 18 months, they delete all your points! 200,000 gone...

Qantas Online Check-In & Upgrade Chances

I confess I have never used Qantas Online check in. Never saw the point. My wife and niece are departing Syd-Bkk soon and I'm wondering what the benefits of online check-in might be. They have Econ tickets with a request for upgrade to Business. I guess I'm concerned that checking in online...

    Sydney International Car Parking

About the same cost as Sydney CBD parking these days!

    Sydney International Car Parking

It would appear on further research, that the difference between the $64.90 and the $90 car park booking could be......... That for $90 you have a few less metres to walk into the terminal. But not altogether clear..........at all........

    Sydney International Car Parking

Yes I understand that :) I'll help them check in (sometimes language issues) and then generally I'll hang around land side till they depart. Or at least until "She Who Must Be Obeyed" calls to say they are through OK and now commencing duty free shopping and eating everything within reach in...

    Sydney International Car Parking

I have to drop off a couple of people at the International Terminal in Sydney. I'll hang around 3 hours or so till their flight leaves. I was checking out booking parking online, rather than just rock up as I normally do. But it's a bit confusing. If you look at the three options. The...

Best Place for a Few Hours Sleep in DBX?

Would really appreciate some advice as I haven't done a "fast stop" like this before. I'm passing through DBX next year flying Emirates Business Class. Getting off at DBX for less than 24 hours for a couple of meetings. It doesn't make any sense to book a Hotel I think....... I arrive at 5:15...

Iberia Express - Is Business Class worth the extra $$ ?

I guess I'm just being a bit paranoid in these 'interesting times' and seeking whatever extra personal space I can. Hard in an aircraft of course :rolleyes:

Iberia Express - Is Business Class worth the extra $$ ?

I have an internal flight to make in Spain. In the past I have used Iberia's discount carrier Vueling, who were quite good. But they don't fly the sector I need anymore. Looks like Iberia Express is the main (only) option. So I just wondered if the extra cost was worth it to sit up front, get...

Which International Sectors actually use Qantas Aircraft?

Interesting option. I'll certainly take a look! Though it's a very specific thing I'm going for in MAD with little time for side trips. So EK with just one stop in DXB might be best. I just realised I can squeeze in a business meeting too in DXB, which helps justify the trip

Which International Sectors actually use Qantas Aircraft?

Thanks for all the responses. Would prefer to avoid LHR if I can. Previously I flew Sydney-Dubai-Madrid. Though I thought the first sector was a Qantas aircraft. Maybe not. Is there any advantage in booking these flights via Qantas, or better direct with Emirates do you think?

Which International Sectors actually use Qantas Aircraft?

OK, so I haven't flown Internationally in about 3 years! But planning a trip from Australia to Europe (Sydney-Madrid-Sydney) in March 2023. Hoping to use Economy with upgrades. The issue I always 'had' previously in booking these flights is working out which sectors are actually flown with...

Seat Not Ticketed - How Come?

OK thanks. a good tip. But this really shouldn't be necessary surely? We really need to check that the booking staff did the right thing? What could I do at the time of booking to make sure it's ticketed? It's only happened twice in 25 years, and both in the last 4 weeks.... just made me...
