    Did Tiger drop MEL-SIN?

I just went to the Tiger site to work out an itinerary for a friend, and was shocked when I couldn't choose SIN from the destination drop down box. I then checked the route map and found that there is now no MEL-SIN flight listed. When did this happen? I can't find any info online.

Swine Flu Outbreak and Travel Insurance

The germ handler keyrings I saw a few days ago and I got a good laugh out of don't look so stupid today! http://rushfaster.com.au/product.php?pProductID=HDL-HANDLER-BLUE Even if Qantas did, I know Priceline don't give refunds, and I've got fantastic Hotel deals in Vegas and New York and I...

Swine Flu Outbreak and Travel Insurance

Well isn't that bloody fantastic. First trip overseas in ten years and there is a possible pandemic two weeks before I go. I have now called three insurance companies and none of them will cover hospitalisation related to Swine/Avian flu due to travel warnings and mass media even though...

Need hotels - San Fran, New York, Paris

I just bid on Priceline and instantly won the Westin I wanted for 15 nights for only US$85 a night, awesome price (Total US$1496)!! Hotwire had it for $112 a night, and the SPG/Westin website has the cost for the same time as US$3112. I can do without the SPG points for a US$1500+ saving...

Best Vegas Hotel? One with One World points perhaps?

I just bid and won the 4 star Westin Jersey City for 15 nights for US$85 a night and paid with my Wizard Clear Advantage Mastercard, so I guess they're happy to take money from anyone. I know some cards dont' work, but this Mastercard always does.

Need hotels - San Fran, New York, Paris

I'm spending two weeks in New York 18th May - 1st June and looking for hotels. According to the interwebs the good deal is to stay at the new (Opened Feb 2009) Starwood Westin in Jersey City. Want a real deal? The two-month old Westin Hotel in spiffed-up Jersey City, a 20-minute, $1.75 train...

Best Vegas Hotel? One with One World points perhaps?

Yep, that MGM Grand deal with the daily grand buffet for two people is the best deal going around. However from my reading you only get one sitting i.e. Lunch one day, dinner the next. If it's all day buffet then I'm going to come back looking like an American. After snagging the $930 flights...

    Cheap fares to the USA

I find it really silly that AA have not reduced prices for return tickets after April. In the face of UA and Virgin and Delta even Qantas has now reduced fares well into this year as detailed in this thread. The celebratory offer was supposed to finish yesterday, but they have extended it a...

    Cheap fares to the USA

Qantas says you can't use an AA codeshare on the flights to LAX/SFO at the under $1000 rate :(

One World Fare Increases from 13 April

I'd also like to hear how you go QF009 with your Korean TA booking through AA.

    Cheap fares to the USA

That O class QF MEL-SFO looks interesting. Can you whack on the AA codeshare and get 100% miles and 1.0 EQP?

Amazing fare on AA to new york

Any chance the MEL-NRT flights is an AA codeshare on the way to the states? So if Q class earns nothing at all AA metal NRT-LAX-JFK = 7916 AAdvantage miles + 3958 EQM then back on AA metal in reverse = 7916 AAdvantage miles + 3958 EQM So you end up with 15,832 AAdvantage miles and 7916...

Amazing fare on AA to new york

Please check my sums on this cheap Q flight in regards to AAdvantage: The Qantas flight MEL-NRT is 5087 miles = 2543 AAdvantage miles + 2543 EQM* then AA metal NRT-LAX-JFK = 3958 AAdvantage miles + 3958 EQM then back on AA metal in reverse = 3958 AAdvantage miles + 3958 EQM Then Qantas flight...

    RTW Planning Advice

Whew, that's a lot to figure out. Firstly, if you are 6 foot 5, I think you would much prefer business class, I'm 6 foot and economy sucks for me, it must be hell for you. I chose to start my DONE4 in Sth Africa, and got a very big discount over the purchase price for the same ticket from...

10,000 bonus points per 20 transactions

Yeah, I mentioned that a few pages back, however if it's showing up on the main MR page when you login, then it should still appear there when I get my new card and login in 10 working days. If it's not applicable I will have a whinge and escalate it until I get my way, this offer is too good...

10,000 bonus points per 20 transactions

Yeah, I would be using it to go SPG -> AA so I'm going to apply anyway. To find someone to share 25,000 AA miles the cost is US$280 To purchase 25,000 AA miles the cost is US$616 To earn 60,600 MR points = 20,000 SPG points = 25,000 AA Miles the cost is $80 So I am willing to risk $80 and get...

10,000 bonus points per 20 transactions

Yeah, it's $80, but if I went through AMEX directly the green card is $80 annual fee plus $80 for Ascent rewards. I called up AMEX and the guy said I wouldn't be able to us the MYREWARD code on a new card, so I guess it's 50/50 whether it would work or not, unless someone has prior experience...
